Market mining - Belarus

Was in Belarus recently for visiting my present clients and find new customers.My marketing journey started here long back .....Country with app 10 million populations (Belarusian, Russian, Polish, Ukraine..) is growing at rate of 4%.My impression about people is very good as they are well mannered,respect their guest and treat well.

My interest lies in their capability of sewing.There are many sewing companies with skilled sewers, technologists, constructors, designers and officers.Branding is done like left hand game,even small companies have many designers and they are doing very fantastic job.They are catering the needs of not only Belorussia but also for Russia and Kazakhstan.So indirectly we are serving Russia and Kazakhstan. Huge market and huge demand.

That is the beauty of marketing here.....big potential...big possibilities....and tall promise.Nation is ideally situated to harness the benefits of local united economic zone.Lets look the map...

I always drive to go there except Minsk hotels are very economic but nicely maintained.Textiles companies are located near Minsk, Pinsk, Brest, Saligorc, Grodna, Orsha, Polask. Decisions are taken mostly by owners.Money is mostly safe if credit worthiness is critically examined better to work with LC or prepayment.Competition is from China,Uzbekistan in economy brand and from Poland and Turkey in Standard brands.Premium brands are my target where we are most worthy suitor.Since I can understand and communicate Russian I am received well in this market.To my great satisfaction people see India with respect.

Recommend Indian and South East Asian companies to explore the market and increase their revenue.You can find customers for yarn,fabric and even garments.....good luck!!!!!

Innovation- the new found religion of industry-How to install in organization

I know very well that I am hired by my employer for following.

*Not only to take work from others but to work and contribute myself.
*Not to rule the operation/business but to run it profitably.
*Not to take credit of others ideas and contribution but to highlight them at diffrent forums so real contributor is appreciated and rewarded.
*Not to let go away any opportunity of value addition and value protection.
*Not to break but build the team of performers and achievers.
*Not to feel threatened from smarter team members.
*Not to curtail and suppress constructive dissent and opposition.
*Not to overlook any moment share holders and stakeholders interest for organization welfare.

And many more .............needless to mention here as everybody knows.I will call myself to be fortunate to be part of team (multi ethenic and multi national)at AS QUALITEX as it has thriving innovation culture where each and every member is contributing hard to do better and better.Alot of credit goes to As Qualitex Owners too who have always given their unqualified support to team.When I tried to innovate myself with new approch results started flowing.

Innovation- the new found religion of industry-Economic RFT& RET

I was very fortunate that got start up my career in guidance of a selfmade proactive owner and MD of business.He was very sharp and always felt and expressed the pain in system and lead the organization from front.Frank to speak I was not liking him and always thinking why this oldman tries to see every abnormal things happening in business so minutely and pressing every body for coming out of stretch zone.


Oneday in lighter moment I gathered courage and asked straight and reply I got "Deo This is my job and it is in interest of organizationand I will continue to do it whether some body likes or not,supports me or not because I know oneday every body will appreciate me"Very soon I developed respect for him and started running behind each of his instructions.


He sharpened my eyes and ears to reach at most wanted place first and take Economic corrective steps pleasant or unpleasant.He also diverted my interest towards production that on today I love inaddition to all basic corporate running crafts I learnt from him.Let me not take more time and go back to topic that I want to cover today as I am fresh today I want to share it with every body.


My efforts in production innovations gathered momentum only when I strated to address very basic point.


ECONOMIC PRODUCTION -RIGHT FIRST TIME & RIGHT EVERY TIME.In short Economic RFT & RET.


Any body can start from here with this concept and I guarantee success.


Few actions really helped and I hope it will help others too.


*Clearing theme of article/product in totallity means what,for whom,for what purpose,what performance needed...including saleable price.


*Fixing & holding final team .It really helps to tap knowledge stored in peoples head I mean tacit knowledge.Friends just believe me we cant afford to loose TK.....Tacit Knowledge.Fixing is easy  after identifying the key members but difficult is holding.Holding is only possible when you have a caring attitude in organization.


*Fixing basic input rawmaterial.It means trying to work with fewer quality supplier to keep constant watch on rawmaterial quality for consistency.


*Developing,documenting and maintaining technology card.


*Fixing routes & methods.


*Fixing machines used.Machine park with similar model and make assist a lot.


*Rationalizing machines and its operators for every article.variations added by men and machines are often large.


*Standardising sampling method and using technology in measurement .


*Keeping records with constant update.


*Finding end users utility list.


*sharing results with each and every one required.


*Pre production,on production,post production discussions.
*Experimenting constantly with new ideas.


So on.......List can go on


I know we all are trying for RFT but real and measurable results can be achieved when we implement it as a total package.Lets implement RFT & RET Economically.It will kick start many production innovations in organization for every ones benefit.As soon as we start measuring every actions and decisions in terms of return and benifits,organization gets enerzised and team gets real appreciation and rewards from share holders,top management and stake holders.

Innovation- the new found religion of industry -Concept

Honest to speak I know this word from early days of English learning but I could figure out its core meaning and strength only when I took up a job in Europe.Today I want to redesignate it as workmanship excellence.Some body agrees with me or not but I think many note worthy innovations are happening in Europe in every walk life.Few reasons I saw in way of life of people.
*Restriction free upbringing
*Interference free personal and professional life
*Worry free life style
*Total focus and commitment to assignments
*uncompromising discipline
*Best regard for work not position
Straight from my heart I really learnt here to be independent.Before coming here I was having many servants in my life to perform my personal works like washing my cloth,ironing,cooking,polishing my shoes,driving my car,attending my office.
Way of life here changed me and now I do most of my job my self and I started getting my self innovated and evolved.
Off the late I came to know that innovation is nothing but THINKING AND DOING EVERY TIME BETTER THAN BEFORE. And curiousity and concerns drive imagination and later breeds innovation.Now question arises what kills it?I think it is complacency.Lets stop to be complacent.

Textile industry is a basic industry running from thousand of years and will continue to do so in future without doubt.World economy if not only dependent on it at least gives signal of recession and boom from here.Many big bussiness houses journey of success started from here.So where is problem?Frankly to speak it adopted professionalism very late and still technolgy usage is at infancy stage in many countries.

Dear readers, a TECHNOLGY DRIVEN & TECHNOLOGY COMPLIANT business model it self finds outstanding solutions to short term and long term business issues and inturn achieves sustainable growth.
